Tuscany is one of the most popular regions of Italy. It’s not such a surprise considering how rich is the Tuscan cultural, historic, and natural heritage. Many tourists explore the area in a car or a coach, making stops at strategic spaces. However, would you want to spend half of your sunny vacation day confined inside a bus? Just stopping here and there is rarely enough to let you connect with your surroundings.
Booking the Siena Bike Tour with us allows you to leave the hustle and bustle of the tourist crowds behind. You can do so without worrying about any organizational details, directions, or rigid itineraries. Our expert escorts will guide you through the countryside, sharing details about life and history of the region. You will learn and explore while doing something good for your body, too. Plus, physical activity makes the already excellent local food and wine taste even better!
There is no doubt that cycling in Tuscany will take your holidays to a whole new level.
This vividly green region sits in the central west part of Italy, north of Rome. Exploring the ins and outs of Tuscany beyond its celebrated cities is an interesting way to learn what drives and shapes Tuscan character. The identity and of people who were born and grew up in the area is closely tied to its landscape and eventful past.
The area used to be home to the advanced Etruscan civilization. Eventually, Roman Empire consumed their territory in 351 BC. Since then, things didn’t change much up until the fall of the Empire after which Tuscany fell under the rule of various leaders. However, in the end, the region came out of this turbulent power-battle as an independent political entity with its own rulers. The strongest of the Tuscan cities gradually acquired independence and formed independent republics. By the late Middle Ages, Arezzo, Pistoia, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, and Florence transformed into wealthy commercial and agricultural centers.

Great guide, lovely to see the countryside with someone who has a lot of local knowledge. Loved the explanation of the food as well as the wine tasting. My only recommendation would be that the bicycles seats could be comfier - it's a long ride :)
Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. A bike tour is a perfect way to soak in Tuscany. I really enjoyed biking up the hills, the food as well as wine. Highly recommend.
We truly enjoyed this bike tour! The ride through the countryside was so lovely although sometimes challenging. We were well looked after. The typical lunch was delicious with plenty of proper Italian food and wine. I absolutely recommend this trip.
