Walk through the villages of the Cinque Terre on this one day tour, exploring and admiring the picturesque small towns along the way. The Cinque Terre is an astonishing stretch of rugged coastline and the only unspoiled area along the scenic Italian Riviera. Its name comes from the five charming fishing villages of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso. Isolated by steep mountain ranges and valleys on one side and by the sea to the other.
Cinque Terre has been inaccessible to reach by land for centuries. Due to its isolation, the idyllic charm of the Cinque Terre is now a protected World Heritage Site and a National Park. Discover the remarkable beauty along the coast, led by our experienced guide. Start your tour with a visit to the Cinque Terre village of Manarola. Continue along with a relaxing boat journey (dependant on weather) to Monterosso, which is recognized for its stunning beach and tiny craftsmen’s shops.
With a quick train ride, we reach the Vernazza, one of the prettiest villages of all, where we will have time to rest in one of the lively cafés and bars. Once again, by train, we arrive at Riomaggiore. Take time here to enjoy a refreshing swim in the Mediterranean or enter the unique shops to browse the gems. We’ll stop here for a wholesome local lunch in a typical restaurant. The views are unbeatable.
With the sea below and the hills leading down to the rocky coves, the backdrop is breathtaking. From Riomaggiore, we’ll head back to La Spezia by train to conclude our Cinque Terre visit, before returning by coach to Florence. Keep in mind, the order of the visit could change. If you wish to discover the Cinque Terre villages on a completely independent visit, you can book the round-trip bus option of this tour and take advantage of the comfortable shared transport.
