When we pick you up at Piazzale Montelungo you have to remember to wear comfy clothes! You don’t want to be touring around Tuscany in high heels! When we leave for Siena we will drive through the vineyards of Chianti getting in early enough to enjoy breakfast with the locals! Enjoy your breakfast while wandering around the center of Chianti.
A local guide will take on your walking of this beautiful hilltop town that will take you through the history of Siena. The 13th-century streets play home to the world's oldest bank and Piazza del Campo. You can meander through the streets all the while enjoying the Tuscan sun.
Just a quick trip to the countryside will bring you to the delightful family-owned vineyard and farm. While you’re here you will be treated to a traditional Tuscan lunch with locally brewed wine before heading out to San Gimignano. This town, just a few minutes away from the vineyard, this town is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. Interestingly, San Gimignano was made a Unesco World Heritage site and due to perceived similarities with New York (the famous narrow towers), is often nicknamed the ‘Manhattan of the Middle Ages’. You will have ample free time to walk the cobblestone streets to enjoy the local craftsmen shops and enjoy the best gelato around, so good in fact that it is award winning gelato!
When you’ve had plenty of time to explore San Gimignano we will head on to Pisa, but not before passing through the most beautiful countryside you will ever see. While in the beautiful city of Pisa we will visit the Field of Miracles. The field is adorned with gleaming white buildings of the Duomo and the world-famous Leaning Tower. Here you can simply stop and enjoy one of the most famous, beautiful monuments in the world.
