Fantastic experience

I thought seeing the Gaudi church from the outside was enough, but my wife persuaded me to buy these tickets. I never expected the inside to be so beautiful, definitely worth a visit.

Informative tour, worth the price

Irina Sytcheva was an awesome tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and even mixed in some humor with the facts. If you're interested in learning more about the history of Sagrada Familia, and some of Gaudi's other buildings, I would recommend this tour. If you just want to see pretty architecture and grab some photos, without the history lesson, then you could probably skip the tour. I had booked the tour because I waited to look to purchase a regular ticket to the church and towers and the tour was the only way in, but I feel that the tour was worth the price.

An amazing tour with a knowledgeable tour guide. She was very friendly and took us around the Park explaining the history and architecture. Plus, she was able to answer all the questions we asked I would recommend this tour without hesitation

Good English spoken by the guide but the audio was faulty at times.

It was good to get the historical information about the Sagrada Familia, Gaudi and the symbolism explained by the guide, which is not something you would know unless you had done your own research. Well worth doing the tour for this reason, let alone seeing the inside of the church as well, which of course is magnificent.

The beautiful patterns and colors that reflect off of the walls and ceilings, coming from thoughtfully placed windows, accentuate a sense of harmony and invite introspection.
  • Your Sagrada Familia guided tour brings to light the details of Gaudi’s cathedral, explaining the intricate methods in which the stained glass windows were made and the meanings behind them.

When most people think of Barcelona, the Sagrada Familia springs to mind. This is an iconic image all around the world. Take in all the awe-inspiring beauty on one of the best Sagrada Familia tours; make the moment last forever. Here are some ideas for the best shots for that preserving your memorable moment:

  • Nativity façade from Plaça de Gaudí: The best angle for the “big picture” is from the square opposite, as you can see the legendary Basilica rising above (and reflected in) the lake below.
  • Passion & Death: The haunting Golgotha scene by Josep Maria Subirachs.
  • Tortoise at the base of the column: Look at the bottom of the two main columns before you and you will see a tortoise and a turtle. Together they represent land and sea. In the same way as stone freezes time, so will your photo capture these carved animals forever.

Why is Antoni Gaudi’s Basilica de la Sagrada Familia important?

The Sagrada Familia is a masterpiece of modern architecture. One of the greatest expressions of Christian faith ever constructed from stone. Antoni Gaudí’s Basilica de la Sagrada Familia is based on the traditions of Gothic and Byzantine cathedrals and expresses Christian belief through the beauty of its architecture. On a Sagrada Familia inside tour, you can experience the beautiful interior that mimics the natural world with columns built to resemble trees. This was all done to reflect Gaudi’s firm belief that to be in nature was the closest a person could be to God. How much is the Sagrada Familia entrance fee?

When you choose not to buy Sagrada Familia online tickets, the price you pay may appear to be slightly cheaper. Although buying your tickets offline may seem like a better option, what no one tells you is that in exchange for the few euros you’ll save, you will need to queue in the insanely long ticket line when you arrive. If you buy online, Barcelona Sagrada Familia tickets are a bit more expensive (starting from €25, depending on the season), however, it’s still better to pay a small fee than spend two hours standing in a queue.

What is the cost for a tour of Sagrada Familia?

Sagrada Familia English tours and tours in other languages vary in price from between €35 to €50 depending on what is included. You can test your luck and try to buy tickets to Sagrada Familia on the day, but you may end up faced with a sign that says, ’Sagrada Familia tickets sold out’, and you could lose your chance at visiting Gaudi’s masterpiece.

Do I need a guided tour?

A Sagrada Familia guided tour is the best way to enjoy the basilica’s transcendent beauty. Although you can get by with only Sagrada Familia church tickets, having a local guide by your side as you visit offers a fantastic opportunity to engage with the basilica in more detail, which results in a more fulfilling experience.
