Florence Duomo Tour has incredibly sought after. However, not all are equal. Our tour of the Duomo will let you experience this landmark from an unusual perspective: the Terraces the Cathedral.
Our Duomo experience starts with a screening of a short introduction movie in a private room of the Duomo square. The video will teach you more about the design and construction of the church and other monuments in the city. After the short movie, you’ll skip the lines and get on with a guided tour of the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral. In the end, you will have the privileged to access the Terraces of the Cathedral which offer compelling views of the city wrapped in the hilly Tuscan countryside.
Once the guided visit is over, you can stay and continue wandering around the cathedral on your own and even climb Brunelleschi’s Duomo if you wish. This exclusive tour will culminate with a traditional Italian aperitif (Aperitivo) close to the Duomo. The price of the tour ticket also includes the visit to the Crypt of Santa Reparata, the Baptistery, and the Campanile which you are free to explore by yourself.

Moreover, our friendly expert guides will be with you every step of the way, ready to answer any questions or doubts you might have.

Florence’s Duomo Complex keeps the glory of Renaissance alive even today. Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral is the fourth largest church in the world. Moreover, the entire complex (including the Baptistery and Giotto’s bell tower) is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Being a vast and intricate structure, the Duomo Complex was not a work of one man. The construction of the cathedral began at the end of the 13th century under the leadership of Arnolfo di Cambio. However, Filippo Brunelleschi’s Duomo which overtakes most of the exterior came into existence in the 15th century. The statues of both architects are standing proudly on the right side of the Cathedral.
Two long centuries to complete a construction! Imagine that! As if that wasn’t long enough, it took until the 19th century to have it entirely decorated. We must admit, though, all that work was worth it.
So, what do you say? Interested in getting an exclusive insight into this iconic landmark? Book our Duomo Terraces Tour with Aperitivo today and experience the most unique of Florence Duomo Tour!
