Plunge into the Tuscan countryside and visit Pisa, San Gimignano, Siena, and even the picturesque Cinque Terre on the Ligurian coast:
The tour unravels with a visit to the impressive Piazza dei Miracoli, a gothic jewel of Pisa famous for its curious Leaning Tower. Afterwards, you’ll have time to relax with an authentic Tuscan lunch followed by local wine tasting. Once everyone is done enjoying all the flavorsome food and wine, the journey continues to an ancient town of San Gimignano, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, taking the panoramic routes through Chianti, the tour will head to the city famous for the Palio Horse Race, Siena. Led by our licensed expert guide, you will go on a guided walking tour of the city. All significant landmarks, palazzos, and piazzas will land at your feet!
Your Cinque Terre day trip from Florence will begin with a scenic boat ride towards the lovely rustic port of Portovenere. This old village is a favorite Cinque Terre destination, especially thanks to the perfect balance between nature and man-created architecture. Afterwards, you will once again board the boat and head to the picturesque Manarola. It’s the perfect time to take pictures as this is the route with the best view of Cinque Terre! Upon arrival, you will have free time to explore by yourself. Next, on the list is Monterosso known as the ‘pearl of Cinque Terre.’ After a bit of exploration, those who opted for the optional lunch will enjoy an authentic Ligurian meal. After lunch, there will be more time to wander around a bit more or even go for a swim. At last, you will head to Vernazza, overlooked by ruins of a Medieval castle. Once again, you’ll have plenty of time to explore on your own before a comfortable coach takes you back to Florence.
The third day is all about the elegant city of Florence. First, you’ll head for a scenic tour of the city. The adventure will start with a visit of Piazzale Michelangelo with an astounding view of the city. Then, we will take you to the ancient Etruscan town of Fiesole, that overlooks Florence from a hilltop. On the way there, you‘ll have a chance to see the lesser-known suburban areas of Florence. After the scenic tour, you will have time for lunch and siesta. You will meet our tour guides again at 6 PM and set out to explore the center of Florence on an hour-and-a-half introductory tour. You’ll learn all about the city’s 2,000 years of history. The tour will show you evidence of Roman origins, a 15th-century palace, Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Courtyard and Brunelleschi’s Dome, overlooking the Baptistery's Gates of Paradise. At the end of the tour, you will be offered an “aperitivo” (drinks and snacks) in a unique location close to the Duomo.

The area we know as Tuscany today used to be the home of the developed and prosperous Etruscan civilization. However, in 351 BC, like many other lands, it became a part of the Roman Empire.
Things changed after the fall of the empire. Tuscany experienced a rule of various foreign leaders. Nonetheless, in the end, it emerged as an individual political entity with its own rulers. After that, little by little, the main Tuscan cities flourished and grew more powerful. In fact, they earned their independence within the region and, gradually formed independent republics.
Tuscan history like its landmarks and attractions is very rich. From rural countryside, through cities to the sea, there is much to see and even more to learn.
