Meet your guide directly in front of the Bordeaux Tourist and Convention Office located in the center of the city at 8.15am. Comfortably seat in our air-conditioned minibus on a way to the village of Saint Emilion located about 20 km from Bordeaux. Our driver-guide will offer you a walking tour of this picturesque village which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999 as a world-first cultural landscape.
Begin your tour by visiting the monolithic church and its magnificent cloister. Stroll through the paved and hilly streets that highlight Saint-Emilion's special charm. You will be captivated by the city's natural character and the richness of its historical and architectural heritage.When you're done, you will take the minibus to meet an organic wine producer local to Saint-Emilion. You will visit a domain of Saint Emilion Grand Cru, historically recognized since 1925. You will see first-hand the daily life of a passionate winegrower who will give you a tour his estate for about an hour.
After looking out on the vineyards at the entrance of the estate, you will enter two separate buildings. In the first, you will see how the tanks are installed, and your host will let you in on the secrets of winemaking. The second building houses barrels of wine ready for tasting. You can then discover the richness of this tasty wine during a delicious tasting.
After discovering Saint Emilion, return to Bordeaux by minibus. After 45 minutes way, the guide will invite you to lunch at one of the many restaurants located in the city center. You will have free time and stroll a little in the streets. Come to the Bordeaux Tourist Office at 2:30 PM. Go to the walking tour for 2 hours.
