We begin with an introduction to the cars, the handling and driving of the amazing cars, and start to drive on the hills around Florence on a private road through vineyards and olive groves on the grounds of a 15th century Renaissance villa. Your guide communicates via radio leading you through lovely landscapes.
We wander through walled country roads, with panoramas filled with monasteries, olive groves and grapevines, as your guide entertains you with history and local knowledge. We then head into the Chianti countryside, driving down the quintessential Chianti road, the Via Chiantigiana, lined with vineyards, Tuscan farmhouses and cypress trees.[readmore] For part of our journey we take some of the route of the famous ‘Mille Miglia‘ car rally. The gently curving roads are a joy to drive and each moment is like driving through a progression of postcards. We will take two stops, one in front of a very well known terracotta factory, with an amazing view of the Chianti Classico wine district.
The second stop is on the way back, along the road, at a spot where you have the chance to take pictures and bask in the beauty of Florence Panorama, the mountains around the city, the Arno river and the city center from above. A “must-do” convoy tour, a cruise of the Tuscan countryside in a mythic Fiat 500! A fun and romantic experience not to be missed!
