This World War Two tour in Paris focuses primarily on the everyday lives of Parisians during the four years of Nazi occupation from 1940-44. You will learn about the German soldiers, as well as the lives of Paris' Jewish community and the French Resistance, including the famous Liberation of Paris.
The tour begins in the historic Jewish neighbourhood, and takes in the sights, sounds and histories of the Marais, Ile de la Cité and the Louvre Museum Area on the banks of the Seine.
Tour guides are passionate and local experts who make history come to life, by sharing the stories of those who were involved, as well as family anecdotes, including some of those for whom the War is still in living memory. This tour is very moving, but necessary to learn about so that history is not repeated.
