Once the bus arrives in the capital city, the first stop will be Vegueta, that is the heart of the old town, where you will be delighted with the Cathedral of Santa Ana, the Episcopal Palace and the Casa de Colón Museum. After exploring this stunning history-filled area, you will enjoy some free time in Triana street, where you can go shopping or have a nice coffee. This street is one of the most symbolic and important sites in the city, with its many shops on both sides of it and always full of lively local people.
The next stop in the tour will take you to Altavista, where you will contemplate the city from the heights and enjoy a good panoramic view worthy to remember. The last part of the tour will happen around Las Canteras, one of the best and longest beaches in all Europe. There, you will get to admire the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, and, as the last stop, you will go to the aquarium "Poema del Mar" opened just in January 2018.
Poema del Mar, one of the most spectacular aquariums in the world located on Sanapú dock, near to Puerto de La Luz and Las Palmas, symbolizes and displays the marine biodiversity of the islands and the planet. Inspired by the work of the great Canarian painter Néstor de la Torre, it is a unique experience in an aquarium that hosts 350 species in freshwater and saltwater. Among them, stand out the giant ray chaophraya (Himantura chaophraya), the human fish (Proteus anguinus), which is the first time that it is exhibited in an aquarium, different species of seahorses, sharks, among other exotic species. The return time will be by 15:45, the bus will pick up all customers at Santa Catalina Park for the way back to the south.
