Starting from our office in Madrid, we’ll drive to Segovia, which will take about an hour. Upon arrival, the tour will begin with visiting Plaza del Azoguejo where you will be able to admire the Roman Aqueduct which is the city's most important architectural landmarks.
It had been functioning throughout the centuries, providing water to Segovia until the mid-19th century, and has been preserved in excellent condition. We will then continue walking through the old town to see the Town Hall Square, the inside of the Gothic Cathedral and of course the interior of the Alcázar Castle from the 12th century.[readmore]The castle was formerly a fortified residence of the kings of Castile. After the visit, you can enjoy free time for lunch (available as an option) and then we will continue to Avila. We will walk through its old streets and admire the medieval wall, the exterior of the Cathedral, Mayor Square, and a short Teresian route through the Church of San Juan Bautista and the convent of Santa Teresa, in addition to entering the Basilica of San Vicente. Upon our return to Madrid, the visit will end at Plaza de España (18:00).
