Good trip

Need to get the days schedule ahead of time. If you want to see David you must plan that on your own in the afternoon. We had to skip lunch because of a schedule conflict. The time at the leather store from 13:00-14:00 was nice.

The drive from Rome to Florence, the capital of Tuscany, is approximately 275 miles and takes around 3 hours. The easiest and quickest route is using the A1/E35.However, this route does include toll fares which are paid on multiple checkpoints as you progress. To pass the toll stations quickly and without hassle, purchase a toll card with a pre-set credit purchase a toll card with a limited credit at a local gas station before your journey.

By Bus 

There are many bus providers servicing routes between Rome and Florence. Prices will vary depending on how much time in advance you book your tickets as well as on the time of year. The best prices are always hiding among the long distance budget bus options. The journey takes around 3 and a half hours.  

By Train 

Getting on a train from Rome to Florence is probably the easiest, fastest and most affordable option. If you book your tickets online in advance the prices start at around € 19. The High-speed train options with Trenitalia and Italo companies only have a journey time of 1 hour and a half!
