Excellent!

Both routes covered everything there is to see and do in the city and made it easy for us to make the most of our time there.

Highly recommend

Very easy to find the meeting point. Also very helpful as we were early. The park Guell was a stunning place to visit and very well organised

The best way to understand the details of Sagrada's design is with a guide. It was a great experience, thanks.

Must buy

I was in Barcelona for three days and this card was a life saver. I activated it for the day I arrived and it started paying for itself right away by letting jump on the subway from the airport. For the next two days I used that to go all over the city. And the museums I got into were great. It was a must!

BARCELONA TOURS

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines, it’s touring time. If you’ve made it to the bright lights of Barcelona, you’ll doubtlessly be chomping at the bit to get out and start sightseeing. But, Barcelona's a big place, so where do you start? There’s the Sagrada Familia, the Picasso Museum, Park Guell, Barceloneta’s beach promenade, the Gothic quarter, the Rambla and that’s only scratching the surface! So, when it comes to making sense of Barcelona tours are the best way to go. For the seasoned traveler - imagine an Indiana Jones type, except with lonely planet guidebook and camera in place of whip and fedora - throwing yourself into a world of unknown is as simple and exhilarating as jumping out of a plane.

For the rest of us though, sometimes we need a little push. We need some guidance and someone to help show us the way. Hey, there ain’t no shame in that. So, why not book yourself in for one of the many Barcelona tours in English the city has to offer. Then just relax into tourist mode - no need to pack a parachute.

A Barcelona city tour on one of Barcelona’s many tourist buses is a great, comprehensive introduction to the city. In the summer months, you’re pretty much guaranteed a beautiful weather. So, sitting top side as you city tour Barcelona, you can let the wind whip through your hair, catch a tan and the sights all at the same time!

Barcelona tours don’t start and stop on busses though, that’d be crazy. In fact, some of the best tours in Barcelona are walking tours. There are some great options! You can try everything from a tapas tour around the Gothic quarter to a graffiti tour through El Raval. Barcelona private tours mean you get to travel around the city with a local who knows all the city’s secrets, from fun facts and history to the location of that hidden cocktail bar no one knows about. The great thing is though, whatever you decide, you’re sure to see the best of Barcelona.

How to get to Barcelona?

Barcelona is one of the best-communicated metropoles in Europe. You can fly directly to the Barcelona - El Prat Airport or use the nearby low-cost option in Girona. A shuttle bus runs from the Girona airport to Barcelona city center at regular intervals. Alternatively, you can also easily arrive by train or bus from any other city in Spain or other European destinations.

How to get around Barcelona?

If you plan on exploring beyond the historic city center, walking around is not the answer. Barcelona is not a small town. Thankfully, its infrastructure is very well thought out, and you can get pretty much anywhere by bus or metro. Better yet, one type of ticket works for all transport modes within the metropolitan area.

The downside is that in summer both metro and buses get a bit stuffy with crowds and heat. If you want to avoid that rent a bike! Cycle paths connect all hotspots and popular areas, so you should be able to get from one point to another without much traffic-related hassle.

How long should I stay in Barcelona?

To get the most out of your visit and cover all the main attractions without stress, five days should be enough. However, Barcelona is an eclectic city, and the activities can be condensed or stretched out depending on your travel itinerary. One thing is sure, you won’t get bored.

Which Barcelona tours are the most fun?

The city offers tours around Barcelona for travelers of all shapes and sizes. Barcelona walking tours are great for exploring the narrow streets of Barri Gotic or El Born. On the other hand, Barcelona bike and Segway tours are perfect if you want to expand the radius a little bit. For foodies, activities such as tapas tours and wine tastings are the way to go! Which one sounds the most fun to you? Check out our top-rated products for ideas.

Are there free tours?

Yes, free walking Barcelona day tours are available, especially in the old town. However, tipping the guide at the end is expected.

What is there to see?

Barcelona offers a well of experiences. The major sights are all creations of the Architect Antoni Gaudi and include Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, Casa Batllo and La Pedrera (Casa Mila). Museum lovers will find satisfaction in exploring the Picasso Museum, Museum of Chocolate and The Maritime Museum of Barcelona. On the other hand, soccer fans can revel in the Camp Nou experience. That’s just the tip of the iceberg! Browse the most popular sites in Barcelona to find the best fit for you!

Do I need a guide?

In theory, you can explore it all by yourself. However, you will miss out on a world of stories that shaped this city. A guided tour of Barcelona is always a good idea to get you started.

Is Barcelona expensive?

We are not going to lie. Barcelona is not cheap. Flourishing with worldwide popularity the city rarely sleeps. Tourism has had a substantial impact on prices of accommodation as well as other goods and services. For better deals, leave the crowded tourist spots behind and aim for the clandestine streets mainly visited by the locals.
