BARCELONA CRUISES AND BOAT TOUR

Barcelona’s appeal is largely in part due to its geographical location. With the French Pyrenees only two short hours Northeast of the city, and the Meditteranean sea facing the center, it’s no wonder why Barcelona draws more and more tourists every year. The multicultural Catalonian capital’s location is ideal, weather throughout the year is mild, and there’s never a shortage of things to do in Barcelona. One of the many popular attractions is booking a Barcelona boat tour and admiring the spectacular views from off the coast. Sail Barcelona for an unforgettable experience. Even an hour sailing around Port Vell or Port Olimpic is sufficient for gaining a new visual perspective of the city. With a variety of activities to choose from, it won’t be difficult to find something that piques your interest.

Barcelona not only houses one of the largest freight ports of the Mediterranean but also has an important ferry port. Yachts, sailboats, cruise ships, and other vessels depart from in or around the main ports.

How do I arrive at the port?

If you are taking a cruise through the Mediterranean sea, you’ll most likely be departing from near the Freight port where the cruise terminals A, B, C, and D are situated. The best way to arrive is by taking a bus. You can walk, however, the route isn’t glamorous by any means, and it takes quite a bit of time from the center. If opting for the bus, catch the Portbús from the Colombus Monument (on the harbor side of the square). Tickets are purchased directly on the bus from the driver. Prices and times may change so be sure to check online before arriving.

Smaller ships dock around the Moll Barcelona, whereas larger yachts usually dock in front of Terminal M near the Maremàgnum shopping center. All other terminals (N E and S are accessible by foot, a short walk from the monument of Columbus.

Why should I take a Barcelona boat tour?

When you book one of our sailing tours, Barcelona gifts you with the most stunning views throughout the day. The views of Barcelona from the sea rival those from the hills of Tibidabo. It’s worth checking out both, so you have a rounded perspective over the city.

What will I see on Cruises from Barcelona?

Depending on how far you travel from the city, you can see any number of sites as you sail by. Gava and Castelldefels are two of the more popular and closest coastal urbanizations to the South of Barcelona. However, if you set sail in the direction of Costa Brava, you’ll come across quaint virgin beaches and seaside villages like Tossa de Mar. Right outside of Barcelona, expect to pass the popular beaches of Bogatell and Mar Bella. Many sailing boat tours head along the coast until Port Fórum before looping back around to Barcelona.

Can I buy a ticket the day of?

There are two answers to this question. The first is yes, you can try and buy a ticket for a Barcelona boat tour the day of, but, it’s best to book in advance. Barcelona is a tourist hotspot and the busy season never entirely comes to a halt. What this means is that booking ahead is essential.

Can I take a boat tour if it’s raining?

Boat tours typically continue regardless of weather. Most boats have covered areas for the passengers so normally a little rain won’t dampen the fun. With that said, sunny days are always the best for an adventure at sea. If weather conditions are too poor to set sail and there is an immediate risk to the passengers and/or crew, your journey may be canceled. If this happens, you will be informed as soon as possible.
