I had wanted to travel to Barcelona and visit Sagrada Familia Basilica for years. So, when I arrived I didn't wanna wait in long lines or miss a chance to get in completely. I booked this priority group tour with DoTravel and everything went on time and according to plan. They gave us earphones so we could hear our guide even if we stopped to look at something and lagged behind a little. The building is stunning, especially inside. Its because of the colors and nature-inspired style. If you're a lover of art or a spiritual person the sight will stay with you forever. I come from the USA but this makes me want to come back to Barcelona. Amazing city. Safe, clean, friendly. GO! Nip into the Irish Pub across the park in front of the church as well!!!

Loved it!

We arrived for when the zoo opened and there was no congestion. There is a good and wide variety of animals in the zoo most of which we were able to vie. I spent a very enjoyable 4 hours and would certainly recommend.

Amira

It was a cute small aquarium but there were way too many rude adults that seemed to be annoyed with kids wanting to look at the fish and they would be at the front and block the kids. Staff were friendly, only complaint would be the adult visitors who blocked the young kids from seeing and enjoying the aquarium

First attraction of Barcelona

The Basilica of the Sagrada Familia , It's the first attraction of Barcelona, in my opinion Gaudi’s best work even unfinished; the inside of this Basilica is awsome ,the lighting in the evening coming through the window which is stunning. I recommend visit inside of Sagrada with a guided tour, Our guide tour was a lovely Spanish man he is by far the best guide that I have ever had, who has a good knowledge of history and other subjects also.he was one of those people, that no matter the where we are, they can make you laugh even in the Basilica.

SAGRADA FAMILIA

Designed by “God’s Architect,” the Sagrada Familia takes pride of place in Barcelona. Standing tall in the elegant district of Eixample, this colossal basilica blends the traditions of both Gothic and Byzantine cathedrals. Although unfinished, the raw magnetism of the structure is undeniable. Even the hardened local has to fight not to raise their gaze and marvel at it's ornate facade and Sagrada Familia towers. It is a tourist mecca and the most visited attraction in Barcelona. So, naturally, getting Sagrada Familia tickets is a must for a complete Barcelona experience. But, because of just how popular the attraction is, it's always advisable to book the ticket for Sagrada Familia in advance.

One of the best things about the Sagrada Familia is that it only gets better when you head inside. Here, the full extent of Gaudi’s brilliance, artistry, and commitment to faith and nature come to life.

The columns that stretch up to the ceiling and branch out like forest trees support the structure. However, they also reflect Gaudi’s belief that nature and spirituality go hand in hand - that you can never be closer to God than in nature. A self-guided Sagrada Familia tour allows you to quietly lose yourself in this transcendent space.

However, a Sagrada Familia guided tour will bring to light the details of Gaudi’s cathedral explaining the intricate methods in which the stain glass windows were made and the meanings behind them. You can also gain further insight into the way in which Gaudi designed the way light would enter the nave.  The beautiful patterns and colors that reflect off of the walls and ceilings coming from thoughtfully placed windows that accentuate a sense of harmony and invite introspection.

The best time to visit the Sagrada Familia is before the crowds have descended. This is generally midweek in the mornings. You also want to go on a sunny day so that there is plenty of light. But, really, the most important thing is that you just get yourself a couple of Barcelona Familia Sagrada tickets, so you don’t miss out Sagrada Familia in Barcelona most spectacular sights.

Purchasing tickets for Sagrada Familia including tower can be done directly through the ticket office outside of the sites main entrance. However, be aware that there are often big queues. Wait times in the summer can be more than 2 hours and then you may have to wait until your access time. We highly recommend buying the Gaudi cathedral tickets online to avoid long queues.

When is the best time to visit?

The best time to visit the Sagrada Familia is in the off-season, November - February. The colder months see a lower number of tourists traveling to Barcelona, so the Sagrada Familia is quieter. From March things begin to pick up, and in July and August, the Sagrada Familia is at its busiest. As always, visits early in the morning and later in the afternoon promise the fewer crowds and Sagrada Familia skip the line tour groups.

Why is the Sagrada Familia important?

The Sagrada Familia is a masterpiece of modern architecture. One of the greatest expressions of Christian faith ever constructed from stone. Antoni Gaudi’s Basilica de la Sagrada Familia is based on the traditions of Gothic and Byzantine cathedrals and expresses Christian belief through the beauty of its architecture. The architecture of the Sagrada Familia’s beautiful interior mimics the natural world with columns built to resemble trees. This was all done to reflect Gaudi’s firm belief that to be in nature was the closest a person could be to God.

How much does it cost?

To enjoy the Sagrada Familia’s transcendent beauty an audio tour guide of Sagrada Familia is not strictly necessary. However, tour guides offer a fantastic opportunity to engage with a site in more detail. This can result in a more fulfilling experience.
