You will spend the morning visiting Pisa, famous primarily for its Leaning Tower on Piazza dei Miracoli. This also happens to be one of the most beautiful gothic squares in the world! After admiring all Pisa has to offer, you will be welcomed to enjoy a typical Tuscan lunch accompanied by Chianti wines. Next on the itinerary is the medieval hilltop village of San Gimignano. You will be free to wander around the well-preserved piazzas, palazzos, and towers from the Middle Ages. After that, we will take you through the scenic Chianti wine region to Siena, home to the epic Palio Horse Race. An expert local guide will give you an informative walking tour of the city. The perfect dot for the day will be an authentic dinner with a view of Piazza del Campo.

Day 2:

The second day of the Best of Tuscany tour shows you the region from a different perspective. It takes you to the sea to explore the picturesque Cinque Terre and Portovenere.

First thing in the morning, you'll visit the charming Portovenere, a favorite destination characteristic for the perfect balance between architecture and natural shapes. Afterward, you will head out to the sea on a scenic boat ride through the Cinque Terre National Park (by train if boat not in service). Next on the list is the Manarola village, then Vernazza, sitting under the remains of a medieval castle and, at last, Monterosso. This ancient fishing village with sandy beaches and lush greenery is known as the pearl of Cinque Terre. After lunch, there will be a Limoncino Ligure tasting, and you have the afternoon free to explore the village further or go for a swim.

Day 3:

When we are talking about the best of Tuscany, we can't forget about Florence. It includes an introductory walking tour as well as guided tours of the Uffizi and Accademia galleries.

The day will begin with a guided tour of the magnificent artworks at the grand Uffizi Gallery. Exploring over 60 exhibition rooms in the museum, you will get acquainted with some of the best works of Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli, Raffaello and many others! After the Uffizi, you will have a chance to take a one-hour lunch break (lunch not included) before continuing the tour.

Next, an experienced, knowledgeable guide will take you on a walking tour of Florence. Ambling across its lovely crooked streets, piazzas, Ponte Vecchio or Uffizi courtyard, you will find out about the city's storied history... The trip around the city of Florence will culminate with a guided tour of the Accademia Gallery, home to the famous Statue of David.

History Sneak Peek

The area of today's Tuscany was home to the powerful and advanced Etruscan civilization. In 351 BC, it became, like many other lands, part of the Roman Empire. After its fall, things changed. Tuscany witnessed a myriad of different leaders but, at last, emerged as a political entity with its own rulers. Later, the major Tuscan cities gained their independence within the region and, step by step-formed independent republics.

However, there is much more to learn. Don't hesitate any longer and book the best of Tuscany tour combo today! It will reinvent your Tuscan vacations and take them to another level.
