After you are taken to the vehicle that will be your transport for the rest of the day, it’s time to hit the road and see the Lake District! The largest natural lake in England, Windermere is an expansive stretch of water surrounded by rolling hills.
The day continues with a visit to the Hawkshead, a medieval village originally owned by the monks of Furness Abbey. Its church dates back to 1300, and famed poet Wordsworth studied at Hawkshead’s grammar school! You’ll also pass picturesque beauty spot Tarn Hows on the way to Coniston Water – keep your eyes open for resident roe deer in Yew Tree Valley.
