This puffin watching tour from Reykjavík Old Harbour is a fantastic way to see the native and migratory birdlife which calls the Reykjavík Bay Area home.
You will board a specially-designed boat which allows you to get close to the rocky shores of the islands of Lundey and Akurey, much closer than many other boats can get.
Once there, you will have the chance to see Icelandic puffins, as well as other species of birds, including gulls, Arctic terns, Northern Fulmars and black guillemots.
Binoculars are provided for this tour, so you do not need to worry about bringing your own, or if you have left them in your hotel room. It is recommended that you wear layers of warm clothing, as the temperature out at sea is much colder than on shore.
Lundey and Akurey are only 15 minutes from Reykjavík Harbour by boat, and because of their proximity, you are also greeted to stunning views of the Reykjavík Bay Area on your way back into harbour.
