What you'll do
Canoeing in Lapland is a summer and autumn tradition: quiet, scenic, and deeply connected to nature. With Arctic GM, it becomes an authentic small-group adventure rooted in generations of local heritage.
Small groups (max 8 guests) and luxury 2025 4×4 vans ensure a premium experience from start to finish.
After pick-up in Rovaniemi and a scenic drive to a nearby wilderness lake, your guide will provide equipment, safety instructions and paddling techniques. Soon you’ll glide across calm Arctic waters surrounded by forests, fells and endless sky.
Wildlife sightings may include ducks, swans and sometimes reindeer along the lakeshore: a gentle reminder that Lapland is shared with nature.
After canoeing, enjoy a warm fire at the lakeside. Sip hot drinks and savour grilled sausages: a simple and traditional Lapland touch that completes the day.
A genuine, authentic Lapland canoeing adventure experience. Enjoy traditional Finnish barbecue after working up an appetite on the water, and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the Lapland forests.
