Enjoy a classic Icelandic combination: an afternoon at sea searching for whales in Faxaflói Bay and an evening voyage in pursuit of the Northern Lights. You can join both tours on the same day or split them across separate days to suit your schedule. The whale-watching excursion runs through the colder months and typically lasts around three hours. From the water you will see Reykjavík and the surrounding mountain scenery, and on clear days the outline of distant glaciers can appear on the horizon.
It takes roughly 30–45 minutes to reach the primary whale grounds. During the crossing the on-board guide shares historical notes, natural history and local stories, and helps passengers spot marine mammals. Common sightings include minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbour porpoises and, occasionally, humpback whales. The experience blends wildlife observation with dramatic coastal vistas and photographic opportunities.
