Meeting Point

Malta

During this full-day tour you will first visit Mosta, a central town famous for its Rotunda church. The Rotunda, also known as the Mosta Dome, dates from the 18th century and is renowned for the wartime story when a bomb pierced the dome in 1942 but failed to explode, miraculously sparing the congregation. The church's architecture and atmosphere reward those who pause to reflect on its history.

Next you will visit Ta' Qali, where traditional craftsmanship continues to thrive. Watch skilled artisans blow vivid glass, fashion delicate silver filigree and assemble handcrafted pieces. It is an ideal spot to observe techniques passed down through generations and to find unique mementoes that capture Maltese creativity and heritage.

You will then explore Mdina, the island's ancient capital perched on a central plateau. Known as the Silent City, Mdina offers tranquil lanes, fortified bastions and panoramic views across the countryside. Strolling on foot through its narrow streets reveals baroque palaces, centuries-old churches and atmospheric squares that feel frozen in time.

Finally, discover Valletta, Malta's lively capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander its bustling streets, pause at Upper Barrakka Gardens for sweeping vistas of the Grand Harbour and visit St John's Co-Cathedral to admire Caravaggio's masterpiece, The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist, one of the artist's most celebrated works. This itinerary balances history, culture and hands-on craftsmanship to give a rich, varied picture of Malta in a single day.
