What you'll do

This coastal route crosses the southern districts of Marseille, beginning in the shady expanses of Pastré Park and ending in the charming hamlet of Callelongue, before a relaxing stroll to Les Goudes.

Pastré Park opens onto hectares of Mediterranean vegetation: Aleppo pines, oaks, laurels, thyme and a variety of juniper frame walking paths and small canals. The trail rises to a promontory offering one of the city’s finest panoramas, an ideal spot to pause and enjoy a picnic.

As the path descends, it reveals rocky faults and small caves where vegetation gradually changes and coastal colours shift toward the sea. From the high vantage points, Callelongue appears like a painted village clinging to the coast; arriving there brings a satisfying contrast between wild natural scenery and the tranquillity of harbour-side life.

The final stretch to Les Goudes provides an opportunity to unwind by the water, savour the maritime atmosphere and reflect on dramatic views across the Phocaean city and the open Mediterranean.
